kosh delete

Remove a secret from the vault.

Overview

kosh delete removes a secret from the active workspace and environment. The vault reference is invalidated and the ciphertext is deleted.

Usage

kosh delete <NAME>

Example

$ kosh delete OLD_API_KEY
✓ Deleted OLD_API_KEY

Notes

  • Deletion is irreversible. Once deleted, the plaintext cannot be recovered from the reference.
  • The kosh:ref: entry in your .env file is not automatically removed, update the file manually after deleting.
  • Push changes to the server with kosh sync --push to propagate the deletion to teammates.

kosh rotate

Rotate a secret, generate a new value and a new encrypted reference.

kosh status

Show current workspace, environment, and key status.
